Meet Cordova Counseling Center's clinical staff:

Brett W. Turner, Psy.D., Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Turner's areas of specialty include Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology.  He offers evaluation services for brain injuries and dementia, psychological diagnosis and treatment planning, learning disability and ADHD evaluations for adults, and developmental disorders. He is also certified to perform DOT substance abuse evaluations as a Substance Abuse Professional Evaluator. In addition to in-person evaluations, he utilizes internet and web-based/telehealth psychological services and therapies when appropriate, upon request.

Michael Cadwell, M.S., Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Mr. Cadwell is a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida with over ten years of experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment. He has considerable experience working with individuals, families, couples and children with a wide range of chronic and acute emotional problems as well as well as years of experience helping others in personal counseling for general life problems. His area of expertise include depression, anxiety, mood disorders and psychotic disorders with an emphasis on Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, problem solving and development of coping skills. He has also specialized in working with mental health issues in the medical setting and through emergency setting and crisis intervention.

John E. Bingham, Ed.D., Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Dr. Bingham specializes in work with individuals, couples and families and has expertise in a number of clinical and forensic areas including: depression and anxiety disorders, marital and relationship problems, conflict resolution, intensive psychotherapy for psychiatric disorders and medication compliance, and substance abuse disorders. He also offers mental health evaluations, juvenile offender and juvenile mental health evaluations and substance abuse evaluations. Dr. Bingham also performs evaluations for criminal and civil matters including competency, insanity, personal injury and disability cases, and he is certified to perform DOT evaluations as a Substance Abuse Professional Evaluator. He is a member of the American Counseling Association, the National Board of Certified Counselors, the International Board of Behavioral Medicine and Psychotherapy, the American Association of Medical Psychotherapists, and the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers.

Samuel Taylor M.S., CSAT Licensed Mental Health Couselor, Certified Sexual Addictions Therapist

Ms. Taylor specializes in working with individuals, couples, families, and children, and she is one of only a few Certified Sexual Addictions Therapists (CSAT) in the Southeast, and the only CSAT in Pensacola, Florida. She has expertise in a number of clinical areas including depression and anxiety disorders, marital and relationship problems including infidelity and trust issues, sexual abuse (adult survivors), sexual addiction and co-addiction. As part of her rigorous training in Sexual Addictions she has worked with many prominent researchers and trainers, and she received direct supervision and training from Dr. Patrick Carnes. Ms. Taylor is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). She also holds certification as a Master's Addictions Counselor by the NBCC. Other certifications include Board Certified Professional Counselor by the American Psychotherapy Association and most recently she achieved Diplomate status. She is also certified in the State of Florida as a group facilitator for Domestic Violence. Ms. Taylor is a facilitator for Divorce Recovery Groups, and for a Solutions Bible Study on Woundedness, a Division of Abundant Life Ministries. Ms. Taylor maintains a faith-based approach model with an emphasis on Christian Counseling and Spirituality, yet maintains respect for various faith traditions which may be represented.

Kimberly Van Diepen, M.A., LMHC, NCC Licensed Mental Health Counselor 


Mrs. Van Diepen is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida holding a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. She is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). Kimberly is a Certified Trauma Professional trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization repossessing) and completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Kimberly cultivates a safe, warm environment for those experiencing life’s most challenging and vulnerable situations. She also holds Tech/gaming addiction certification and is a certified SYMBIS facilitator for premarital and marital counseling. Kimberly offers a faith-based approach, helping individuals with spiritual and religious difficulties. She works with children, adolescents, adults, and couples by empowering individuals to thrive by overcoming obstacles and moving forward with a renewed sense of hope and understanding. Kimberly is a former registered nurse.

Corey Pulford, M.A., LMHC Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Mr. Pulford is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works from a trauma-informed, cognitive behavioral therapy model and specializes in substance use, trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and anger management.  Mr. Pulford works primarily with individuals and has experience working with military and first responders, as well. He also offers mental health and substance abuse assessments.

Kelly Stone, M.S., LMHC Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Ms. Stone is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and Georgia with more than 30 years of experience working in the field of mental health and substance use, in both outpatient and inpatient settings.  She is experienced working with children, adolescents, and adults on a wide range of issues.  She has worked extensively with people of all ages suffering from Trauma Disorders, Substance Use Disorders, and Persistent Mental Illness.



Donna Clark, LMHC, CCTP, CFTP, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified in Family and Clinical Trauma.

Ms. Clark specializes in work with individuals, couples and families and has expertise in substance abuse, depression and anxiety disorders, conflict resolution, trauma disorders, spiritual and religious concerns, marital and relationship problems. She also offers mental health and substance abuse evaluations. She is a member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers. She is also certified in the State of Florida as a group facilitator for Domestic Violence.
